June 4, 2018 There are a number of new tobacco and electronic smoking devices on the market that are attractive to youth. Many of these products are discreet making them easier for youth to use in schools. To learn what products are being seen or used on K-12 schools, the California Department of Education, Office of Attorney General, and California Youth Advocacy Network, have developed a brief survey for schools to complete. Findings from the survey will be used to inform the development of prevention resources as well as track which products are most prevalent among youth.

The survey will take approximately 3-5 minutes to complete. The survey asks for information about what products are being used and confiscated on campus. If more than one individual at your school works on tobacco-related issues, including confiscation of products, please have each individual respond to the survey.

The survey will be open through Friday, June 22 and is available at
