This Week: Explore How to Better Use the LCAP to Increase or Improve Services for Unduplicated Students

March 5, 2018 This free workshop, co-hosted by CCSA and the California Collaborative for Educational Excellence (a state agency tasked with helping implement the LCFF), will show charter public schools how to use the Demonstration of Increased or Improved Services for Unduplicated Pupils (DIISUP) section of the LCAP to make better decisions with respect to actions and services targeted at unduplicated students.

This is an important skill for charter public schools to develop to better serve FRL, ED and EL students, and to build a good case for renewal. The workshop will start with reframing the common question regarding whether it is permitted to spend "supplemental and concentration funds" on a certain program and reviewing sample DIISUP protocols. The rest of the workshop will involve DIISUP-focused activities including time to work on the DIISUP section of each attendee's LCAP.
