National School Choice Week is Here - How Will You Celebrate?

January 21, 2018 This week is National School Choice Week (NSCW) 2018! NSCW, a week designed to raise public awareness around all types of effective education options for children including charter public schools, kicked off Sunday, January 21 and goes through Saturday, January 27.

During this week, thousands of events, meetings, and activities will be held by schools, organizations, and individuals across the nation and California to celebrate. These events will shine a light on the value of school choice and different types of high quality education options for children, including California charter public schools.

Here are a few ways you can celebrate NSCW and raise awareness around school choice:

  • Check Out Featured California Events for Ideas: California will celebrate National School Choice Week 2018 (January 21-27, 2018) with 2,302 events, meetings, and activities across the Golden State. This page is your portal for details about school choice in California, downloads you can use on social media, event information, and other news.
  • Share on Social Media: Download and share NSCW graphics on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to let your friends and family know you're celebrating school choice in your state!

  • Learn the NSCW Dance: Teach your school the official NSCW dance and perform it during your NSCW celebration. The song for 2018 is "Better When I'm Dancin'" by Meghan Trainor.
