CCSA Answers: Importance of the December 15 CALPADS Fall1 Submission Deadline

  • Print

December 11, 2017 Question: Why is the December 15, 2017 certification deadline for the CALPADS Fall 1 submission important?

Answer: The CALPADS Fall 1 certification determines a charter school's Unduplicated Pupil Percentage (UPP), or the number of unduplicated English Learner (EL), foster youth, or economically disadvantaged (ED) students that it serves. The UPP is used in the calculation of LCFF supplemental and concentration grant funding which schools rely upon to provide additional supports to students that are classified as ELL, foster youth or ED.
