Call for Chapters: Charter School Efficacy, Administration, and Leadership Handbook

  • Print

January 30, 2016 Mark P. Ryan, Ph.D. attempts to synthesize relevant research on the impact of Charter Schools on the families and communities they serve in his soon-to-be-published Handbook. This Handbook will synthesize relevant research on the impact of Charter Schools on the American educational system and provide a place for researchers, university students, practitioners, policymakers, the media, and the general public to find relevant information about how Charter Schools work, what conditions make them effective or ineffective, and what implications of the work of Charters can and should be shaping the broader discussion in America and the world about how to best serve our elementary and secondary students.

Charter school researchers and practitioners are invited to submit on or before February 29, 2016, a chapter proposal of 1,000 to 2,000 words clearly explaining the mission and concerns of his or her proposed chapter. Authors will be notified by April 1, 2016 about the status of their proposals and sent chapter guidelines. Full chapters are expected to be submitted by June 30, 2016, and all interested authors must consult the guidelines for manuscript submissions at Before You Write prior to submission.
