August 2, 2015 Let us help you with your school's renewal! Many factors can impact the successful renewal of your charter. That's why we strongly encourage you to plan to submit your charter by September 15, 2015 if you're up for renewal in 2015/2016. More time gives your school more options to work through sticky situations. If you're up for renewal in 2016/2017, it's never too early to get started!

Mark your calendars today for two upcoming Renewal Webinars to help navigate the process:

This popular resource is useful for administrators, lead teachers, charter school board members, and parent leaders - anyone who will be a key part of your charter school's renewal efforts.

The renewal process varies greatly across the state, and sometimes within the same authorizer. We encourage you to meet with your CCSA regional director to support with your individualized renewal strategy. We can meet with schools to help develop an advocacy plan, tailored to your school's specific needs. Schedule time with your regional director today!

Waiting until the winter -- or later -- is risky. We encourage you to submit by September 15 to ensure that you, your school, and your community start off in the strongest position possible. We continue to see a number of schools that renew too late in the year. Many of these schools have been denied without time to appeal or are forced to accept contingencies that could cause voluntary closure in the future. We don't want this to happen to you. The time to act is now by signing up for these renewal webinars and learning more about the process.
