August 31, 2015 Each year the Learning Disabilities Association of America (LDA) selects an outstanding educator to receive the Sam Kirk Educator of the Year Award. This is an opportunity to give educators a well-deserved "thank you" and lets them know they are greatly valued for their contributions to individuals with learning disabilities. The award is designed so that exceptional educators can be honored at the local, state, and national levels.

The Sam Kirk Educator of the year Award includes: an award certificate, round trip airfare to the 2016 LDA International Conference; complimentary registration to the conference with up to four days per diem at $100; recognition at a general session; and two complimentary tickets to the Awards Breakfast.

The application deadline is November 1, 2015. Applicants will need a letter of support from their state or local LDA Affiliate Board. For more information, including the nomination form, please click here.
