CharterSAFE Compliance Reminder: New Sick Leave Law Requirements Go Into Effect July 1
May 14, 2015
The State of California's new sick leave law goes into effect on July 1. All employers, including charter schools, must be ready to comply with the new Healthy Workplaces Healthy Families Act of 2014. That means that your sick leave and/or PTO policies must be adjusted to cover all employees including full-time, part-time, temporary/seasonal employees and substitutes who have worked at least 30 days in California.
