Public Advocates Revisits Charter School Parent Participation Policies

  • Print

April 10, 2015 Since the release of a report issued by Public Advocates last November, which called into question the parent participation policies of many charter schools, CCSA has remained engaged with Public Advocates in order to alleviate its concerns regarding charter school policies. Public Advocates has now agreed to review additional information and issue an updated report, which will remove certain charter schools from the list included in the initial report.

If your charter school was classified by Public Advocates as having unlawful parent participation requirements and you wish to be removed from this list, Public Advocates invites you to submit documentation demonstrating that no such requirements are currently in effect at your school. Public Advocates has established protocol for schools wishing to be removed from the list.
