June 13, 2014 The Elevating and Celebrating Effective Teaching and Teachers (ECET2) network was born out of a desire to provide a forum for exceptional teachers to learn from one another and to celebrate the teaching profession. Each year since the first ECET2 in 2012, the conference energizes teachers to harness the power of teacher leader networks to deepen knowledge and to improve the teaching practice to better serve students.

A group of Los Angeles teachers decided it was time to bring the ECET2 movement to Southern California and applied for a grant to host a one-day conference. In partnership with New Venture Fund, The College Ready Promise, CCSA, and USC, these teachers will identify speakers, manage logistics, and continue to craft content --all in the spirit of bringing teachers together to collaborate and learn.

ECET2-LA is a free one-day conference for teachers, by teachers that elevates the teaching profession and celebrates teachers as experts in the field. We need teachers with the best ideas for working with kids, developing collaborative relationships, and giving teachers more say in policies and politics. Submit a proposal to lead a breakout session or attend ECET2-LA.
