Form 700 Filing Deadline - April 1
February 13, 2014 April 1 is the filing deadline for local public agency officers and employees to file a Statement of Economic Interest (or Form 700) with their filing officer under the California Political Reform Act.
Depending on your local authorizer's conflict of interest policies, certain charter school officials and employees may be required to file Statements of Economic Interest with a filing officer by the April 1 deadline. In some cases, charter school officials and employees are required to comply with conflict of interest codes based on their charter school petition or Memorandum of Understanding with their local authorizer.
Charter schools should consult with legal counsel to determine if their officials or employees are required to file a Statement of Economic Interest under an applicable conflict of interest code.
