January 21, 2014 The threat of natural and man-made disasters requires a continuous commitment to emergency preparedness. During a major local or regional event, police and fire personnel may not be immediately available. Is your campus prepared to be self-contained for 3 to 5 days?   • Do you know the four phases of emergency management? (Mitigation, Preparedness, Response, Recovery)
  • Do you have a written Emergency Operations Plan? (Who will do what, when, with what resources and by what authority - before, during and after an emergency)
