San Bernardino Elections Tuesday, November 5

October 18, 2013 The city of San Bernardino is experiencing a political change this year. With more than 11 candidates in the Mayoral race and a recall election for the record books it is important to make sure that residents elect the right officials for the job.

San Bernardino students and families also have an opportunity to choose school board members that represent their values and priorities. The San Bernardino City Unified School District has three board positions available and families again can choose to re-elect one, two or three incumbents or select new leadership from the four other candidates asking for a seat.

It is important that school board members know about the issues facing charter school families and it is equally important for families to hold their elected officials accountable for all children in the district. Please remember to vote Tuesday, November 5, 2013.

Current voter information guide and sample ballot lists the candidates for school board as follows:

  • Kaisar Ahmed (Retired Educator)
  • Danny Tillman (Incumbent)
  • Sonia Fernandez (College Student)
  • Joe Navarro
  • Abigail Medina (Parent/Businesswoman)
  • Judi Penman (Incumbent)
