LAUSD Responds to Charter Concerns on the School Performance Framework (SPF)

October 18, 2013 Superintendent Deasy and LAUSD responded to the charter community's concerns regarding the School Performance Framework (SPF) and its application to charter schools. The District will now be including attendance and suspension data in the 2013-14 framework, and will also break out separate SPF classifications for span schools (ex. K-8 will have elementary and middle SPF classifications). However, our issues with SPF as it relates to 8th grade algebra, targets for renewal, and new measures for 2013-14 remain unsolved. CCSA will continue to work in collaboration with LAUSD on clarifying how the framework can best represent the incredible efforts of the charter community.
