Nominate Sacramento County Teacher of the Year

  • Print

April 22, 2013 This year, the Sacramento County Office of Education has asked CCSA to facilitate the selection of a single charter school teacher to represent teaching excellence at the county level - a very tough task, indeed!

Each year, the California Department of Education selects a small number of exceptional teachers to be recognized as Teachers of the Year. The journey to this high honor usually begins at the school district level, then moves to the county office of education, and finally on to CDE. Some districts include charter schools in there nomination process, while other do not. This year we have an exciting opportunity to ensure that exceptional teaching within Sacramento charter schools is recognized in through this prestigious program. It's also an opportunity to honor all of your great teachers, promote your school's commitment to high quality instruction, and promote charter schools as an integral part of the public school system.

I hope you will take a moment to learn more and participate - either by nominating a charter teacher, or by offering to be a member of the selection committee.
