February 18, 2013 For those of you that have been in the charter world for some time now, you've come to realize that there continues to be. What seems like a never ending need to educate your communities of what charter schools are all about. In some cases, it is often re-educating the same community folks over and over again.

The Association encourages our schools to print, link to, embed, and share all of the resources on our website including the overviews of what charter schools actually are to your audiences. It's one of the benefits of being a member. Below are links to examples of the resources we encourage you to utilize when communicating to your stakeholders.

During our regional meetings, you may have seen me using our Cacharters YouTube channel on the screen as background when people are arriving and getting situated. Please peruse through the videos and I encourage you to use them as a meeting warm up with your staff or parents. It's a great way to get folks into a particular mindset for your conversation. You'll also see videos on charter myth busters and past winners of charter schools & volunteers of the year to name a few. There are fact sheets and FAQs that can be useful in a number of ways.
