February 18, 2013 CCSA will host two exciting book signings at the 20th Annual California Charter Schools Conference & Anniversary Celebration with Michelle Rhee signing her new book, Radical: Fighting to Put Students First on Wednesday, March 13 and Geoffrey Canada signing Fist Stick Knife Gun: A Personal History of Violence and Reaching Up for Manhood: Transforming the Lives of Boys in America on Thursday, March 14.

Canada said, "I'm honored to be a part of celebrating 20 years of charter schools in California. California has been leading the charge to reinvent public education to ensure every child from every community has the opportunity to attend a high quality school. This critical work happening in more than 1,000 schools across the state has been supported and guided by CCSA. I look forward to addressing the California charter school community at the annual conference and meeting the teachers and leaders who are accomplishing amazing things everyday on behalf of charter school students."

Both book signings will take place directly following the respective General Sessions each speaker is participating in.
