February 22, 2013 The CK-12 Foundation, a nonprofit organization and long-time partner to many California charter schools, is providing a chance for students and teachers to win devices of their choice (iPads, Kindles, Nooks, or Chromebooks) for their entire classroom! The "Get-Real" competition is designed to stimulate creativity and critical thinking. Students need to create practical examples (multiple submission formats allowed) using STEM K-12 concepts that demonstrate how those concepts can be applied to our world. Think: How did the Egyptians build pyramids made up of perfect congruent triangles? Students can submit ideas through April 15. Winners will be announced April 22. Learn more about the competition.
