January 24, 2013 All LA charter high school students with unique needs and their parents are invited to explore post-secondary options and community resources! Granada Hills Charter High School in partnership with Birmingham Community Charter High School is hosting an evening focused on transition.

Parents and students with disabilities are invited to explore transition resources through a highly interactive experience, which is designed to introduce parents and students to post-secondary options and adult community resources. Parents and students will have opportunity to speak individually with representatives from the Disabilities Offices and Outreach Departments from the local Community Colleges, Cal State Northridge, and Career Tech Ed Centers. In addition, representatives from community programs will provide intensive transition assistance with academic, independent living and social skills to students with disabilities. Lastly, community programs, that assist students with ASD, ADHD, and other Learning challenges, will offer opportunities for students to participate in career development and life skills curriculum.
