Question: Are charter high schools required to offer Drivers Ed classes to their students?

Answer: No. Charters are exempt from all district Education Code requirements, except those included in the Charter Schools Act and its amendments. Charter schools define their curriculum and their educational plan in their charter petition. Many charter schools offer Drivers Education and some offer. Drivers Training courses to students. Both are optional.
