December 14, 2012 If your school is dissatisfied with your current special education services, you might consider the option of local educational agency (LEA) status for special education.

In order to become an LEA for special education purposes, you must secure membership in an approved special education local plan area (SELPA). If your school is seeking LEA status for special education, please take note of the following important deadlines and opportunities.

SELPA Application Deadlines:

Applications to join the El Dorado County Office of Education Charter SELPA or Sonoma County Charter SELPA must be submitted by January 11, 2013. Applications are available online.
