Families That Can: Charter Parents and Leaders Build Momentum in San Diego

  • Print

December 14, 2012 Families That Can (FTC) continues to build momentum in San Diego and throughout the state following on the heels of a FTC rally in November, to defeat the anti-charter resolution proposed by LAUSD Board Member Steve Zimmer.

As we continue to partner with schools and welcome one of our newest members Holly Drive Leadership Academy, we are excited to begin advocacy training workshops for charter school parents beginning in 2013. So sign a commitment pledge to join our efforts as advocacy trained and ready-to-go parents will be instrumental to the success of the charter movement.

A partnership with FTC allows our team to work hand in hand with charter school leaders to empower parents to be highly-effective advocates for their school and for all charter schools. We work with parents around issues that are directly affecting your school, whether state funding, facilities or charter renewals, as well as statewide issues that affect all of us. Support from FTC is a free benefit for schools that are CCSA members. If you would like more information on signing a commitment pledge and scheduling parent workshops please contact FTC San Diego Director Valieria Koss, at vkoss@ccsa.org or (858) 663-7507.
