October 26, 2012 Every January, National School Choice Week provides an unprecedented opportunity to shine a spotlight on the need for effective education options for all children. So far 2,400 schools have signed up to hold events across all 50 states when the week kicks off in Phoenix, AZ on January 25, 2013 with a star-studded event. This year, the week will feature the first-ever whistle stop train tour from Los Angeles to New York for education reform.

The week is also designed to empower parents to choose the best educational environments for their children and supports a variety of school choice options -- from encouraging increased access to great public schools, to public charter schools, magnet schools, virtual schools, private schools, homeschooling and more. More than 200 partner organizations across the country participate. Visit National School Choice Week for more information, the event handbook and to register your school.
