Members: Access Prop. 30 Information and Resources

October 13, 2012 CCSA supports Proposition 30, which will appear on the statewide November 2012 ballot. Prop. 30 is the only solution that will end the chronic budget cuts that have severely harmed our schools and provide increased funding and stability for California's historically volatile budget, putting schools and public safety first. As the election approaches, we know that many school leaders have questions or concerns about activities in which they can participate to advocate on behalf of or in opposition to state and local candidates or ballot measures that affect charter schools.

CCSA has developed these resources to help:

  • an FAQ to provide information about permissible activities and efforts that school leaders and charter schools may participate in to support or oppose candidates or ballot measures
  • a fact sheet about why CCSA has endorsed Prop. 30. This should not be shared directly by schools with school communities as it advocates for a particular position.
  • a draft email that charter schools can use to provide information on Proposition 30 to school communities
