CCSA's Legal Team Launches Web Library

  • Print

May 4, 2012 In an effort to make legal information more readily available to members and other interested parties, the Legal Advocacy Team has compiled key court briefs and decisions relevant to the charter school movement in an online library accessible through the CCSA website. The collection is a result of years monitoring court cases law and administrative actions which directly affect CCSA members and the charter school movement in general.

Julie Ashby Umansky, CCSA's VP Legal of Advocacy and Executive Director of the Charter Schools Legal Defense Fund, reported: "We're thrilled to offer this service to our members, who sometimes want direct and immediate access to decisions that are important to them."

The collection will continue to grow as CCSA updates it with past and current cases, and we invite you to check back regularly for new additions. CCSA is grateful to have talented and dedicated lawyers representing charter schools and their interests in court and administrative agencies. We further appreciate the efforts and risks charter schools take in enforcing and protecting the rights of their students to attend charter public schools.
