March 14, 2012 As we approach the end of the year, the ZOOM! team would like to remind you of our FREE Professional Development Opportunities. Available to faculty at any ZOOM! school, these webinars are a great resource for any user looking to enhance his or her ZOOM! knowledge. Our calendar for the rest of the year is below. If you're unable to attend any of these sessions, you can find the recording on our website within two weeks so you can watch any time.

Additionally, the ZOOM! team is working on setting up its PD schedule for next year, and we'd like to hear about any ideas you have for PD sessions. Please send your ideas to Tracey Katz.

Creating & Uploading Supplemental Demographics
3/20, 3:30-4:30 p.m.
Do you find yourself wanting to upload more demographic information into DataDirector beyond what the typical demographics file allows? During this ZOOM! Booster Shot, you'll learn how to create and upload supplemental demographics (such as previous school, whether the student is in foster care, or whether the student receives a free lunch or reduced-price lunch) to better customize DataDirector to fit your school's needs.

ZOOM! and the Primary Grades

You've been asking and we've heard you! How do you implement ZOOM! in the primary grades? To better help schools use ZOOM! in the primary grades, the ZOOM! team is offering this Data Institute showing schools how to put ZOOM! to use with their youngest students. This session will feature fellow school leaders sharing best practices from their sites, along with implementation successes and suggestions.

Achievement Monitoring Using Benchmark Assessments

Meaningful assessments help your school facilitate teacher effectiveness and student learning, and benchmark assessments provide the real-time achievement monitoring that is a cornerstone of success. Learn about how to develop and implement meaningful benchmark assessments to gain frequent data on student learning and help enhance teaching approaches and your instructional program. Assessments & Rubrics

Assessments & Rubrics are two extremely useful ways of better customizing and analyzing your data. This ZOOM! Booster Shot will show you how to create Assessments within DataDirector and the multiple ways you can enter data into them once created. You will also learn how to create Rubrics, which gives you an alternative way to analyze Assessment data that is meaningful to your school.

ZOOM!/DataDirector Tips & Tricks

Have you ever found yourself wondering if there are any helpful hints to using DataDirector or features you might be missing out on? If so, the "Tips & Tricks" Booster Shot is exactly what you've been looking for! Led by the ZOOM! support team, "Tips & Tricks" will go over some technical tricks to using DataDirector, as well as helpful features and resources you may not be aware of.

Online Testing

This ZOOM! Booster shot, led by the ZOOM! Support Team will give you a brief demo of DataDirector's Online Testing Feature. It is recommended, although not necessary, that schools currently be using the item bank(s) to take advantage of online testing.
