March 8, 2012 April 2 is the filing deadline for local public agency officers and employees to file a Statement of Economic Interest (or Form 700) with their filing officer under the California Political Reform Act.

Depending on your local authorizer's conflict of interest policies, certain charter school officers and employees may be required to file Statements of Economic Interest with a filing officer by the* April 2 deadline*. In some cases, charter school officers and employees are required to comply with conflict of interest codes based on their charter school petition or Memorandum of Understanding with their local authorizer. Charter schools should consult with legal counsel to determine if their officers or employees are required to file a Statement of Economic Interest under an applicable conflict of interest code.
