Feb. 21: Webinar - Measuring Student Growth for School Accountability

  • Print

February 16, 2012 Alternative schools face many challenges when it comes to meeting the requirements of current state accountability systems, particularly when standardized assessment results, used for evaluative purposes, do not factor in where the students are to begin with.

RAPSA (Reaching At-Promise Students Association) is sponsoring a free webinar on Tuesday, February 21 at 1:30 p.m. about a statistical growth model called value-added analysis.

In this presentation, participants will learn about a statistical growth model called value-added analysis. Several states and school districts are using value-added analysis results to hold their schools and teachers accountable for increasing student learning each year. The presentation will be given by Dr. John Schacter, President of The Value-Added Analysis Network, and Kristin Mallory, Chief Educational Officer for SIATech.
