Nov 16: 2012 STAR Pre-ID Webcast Presented by ETS

November 12, 2011 Educational Testing Service (ETS) will present the 2012 STAR Pre-ID Webcast on Wednesday, November 16, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. on the San Diego County Office of Education (SDCOE) Web site. This Webcast, which is part of a regular series, will provide additional background information about Pre-ID for the 2012 administration of the Standardized Testing and Reporting (STAR) Program. Viewers will have an opportunity to ask questions. The workshop's topics will include the following:

  • 2012 reminders
  • Pre-ID options and charges
  • Pre-ID instructions for each administration
  • Data review and data rules
  • Timeline
  • File format and upload process
  • Online data entry
  • Late/supplemental labels
  • Extended Pre-ID data corrections overview

To view the November Webcast, select the Live Webcasts link in the "Categories" section of the Webcast Portal page, and then select the Launch Webcast link under "2012 STAR Pre-ID." Either enter your logon information or, if you do not have a logon at the SDCOE site, select the link to sign up for a free logon account. Enter the required information in the fields that appear on the registration form and follow the prompts to create a logon account. You will be required to create a login account only once. The STAR Webcasts following the November Webcast will be on January 18, 2012. The 2012 STAR Pre-Test Workshop will be presented in the morning and the 2012 CAPA Train-the-Trainer Workshop will be presented in the afternoon.

STAR Webcasts are open to everyone; require no preregistration; and will be archived on the SDCOE Web site.
