External Opportunity: Free Multimedia Presentation & Leadership Workshop in Partnership with Participant Media and Me to We

  • Print

November 22, 2011 Me to We and Participant Media are excited to continue their partnership through an exclusive speaking tour based on the award-winning documentary, Waiting for "Superman." Through an hour-long presentation designed for high-school students, using themes and clips from Waiting for "Superman," and an afternoon action-planning workshop for 30 students focused on issues awareness and leadership skill building, Me to We speakers explore the importance of and barriers to education across the world. From issues related to Aboriginal education in Canada, to the achievement gap and charter and public school system in the United States, to communities overseas, where education plays a crucial role to breaking the cycle of poverty, Me to We speakers are challenging students to consider the importance of education and value of teachers.

Participant Media is partnering on these workshops with Me to We - a social enterprise that challenges traditional methods of doing business by providing people with daily choices that can truly change the world. Me to We is based on five core principles: sustainable development by supporting the work of Free The Children, eco-friendliness, the highest social standards, inspiration and learning and growth. You can learn more about Me to We at www.metowe.com.
