CCSA Volunteer Projects Help Three Santa Ana Schools

November 18, 2011 CCSA staff had a retreat last week in Newport Beach. A new tradition that has been created at these retreats is that CCSA staff participate in volunteer projects at local charter schools. This year was our second year and we were hosted by three Santa Ana Charter Schools: El Sol, Edward B. Cole and Orange County Educational Arts Academy. We were warmly greeted by the directors, staff and students and had a tour of the charter where we learned a bit about their program before we got to work. Staff helped out in the libraries categorizing books, did some gardening, cleaned gutters and rooms. Everyone had a good time. Special thanks to Edward B. Cole, whose students created thank you posters for us and fed us some delicious food.
