November 4, 2011 Last week Gateway Community Charters hosted a ribbon cutting to celebrate the completion of the renovation of a facility that will house two charter programs at the McClellan Business Park.

Community Collaborative Charter School - a 6-12 program serving at risk youth - and site-based Community Outreach Academy will share the newly modernized site. The ceremony was attended by local elected officials, including City Councilmember, Sandy Sheedy, and County Supervisor Phil Serna. The architects from Calpo, Hom & Dong helped to transform the space into a flexible, efficient space that will be adapts to the changing needs of the charter schools over time. Congratulations to the GCC Superintendent, Cindy Petersen, and the entire GCC community!
