Temecula Valley Charter School named a Top 10 Charter School in California
A USC report issued to strengthen accountability among California charter schools includes for the first time a list of the state's top 10 charter campuses. The fifth annual "USC School Performance Dashboard" (formerly CSI-USC) was released Wednesday by the Center on Educational Governance at the USC Rossier School of Education. "We were really struck by the diversity of the schools in the top 10," Wohlstetter said. "There's not one model of schooling that is dominant: they are large and small, urban and suburban, high schools and elementary schools." Read more about the Top 10 list.

Parents express support for Public Safety Academy in San Bernardino
Angry supporters of the embattled Public Safety Academy showed up in force at Tuesday's San Bernardino City Unified school board meeting to describe their love for the charter school and reasons for keeping the academy open. The outcry comes at a time when the leadership of the school has fallen into question, resulting in a recent filing of a lawsuit by the school's board of trustees in San Bernardino Superior Court.
