March 29, 2015 The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation has developed a summer leadership program aimed at increasing the civic engagement of student leaders. This free five-day conference held at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library helps high school students develop their skills as effective leaders through the exploration of Effective Communication, Optimism and Informed Decision Making. Instruction is delivered through stimulating activities led by credentialed educators and includes: collaborative lessons, student-led discussions, research, public speaking, and focused tours through the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum. The use of technology such as iPads, interactive group polls and creative presentations help enhance participating students' understanding. Ultimately, each student will create their own "Leadership Action Plan" designed to proactively address an issue in their school or community.

Individual student applications are being accepted until April 12, 2015 and are available here.
