Voting and Democracy Grant
Do you have an idea for project that will encourage students to learn about and become involved in the democratic process? Apply for the Voting and Democracy Grant to earn $500 to $5,000 for classroom or school projects and up to $10,000 for projects on the district level. Examples of eligible projects include (but are not limited to) get-out-the-vote campaigns, oral history projects about first-time voting experiences, or research projects about how voting laws affect your community.
Deadline: August 31, 2018
Eligibility: Educators who work in US-based public or private K-12 schools, as well as in alternative schools, therapeutic schools and juvenile justice facilities are eligible to apply.
Award Amount: Up to $5,000 for classroom or school project and up to $10,000 for district-level projects.
