Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program
Funding to help eligible elementary school sites provide students with a variety of free fresh fruit and vegetable snacks throughout the school day as a supplement to (and not part of) the school breakfast and school lunch programs, and to teach students about good nutrition.
Deadline: Applications due April 25, 2013
Eligibility: California schools, including direct-funded charter schools, who are School Food Authorities are eligible to apply on behalf of elementary school sites that participate in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP).
