Award for librarians who are improving the lives of people in a community, school, or on a campus

Deadline: Application due September 12, 2012
Eligibility: Nominees must be a librarian with a master's degree from an ALA-accredited program in library and information studies, or a master's with a specialty in school library media from an institution that is accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education, who works in a library at an accredited university K-12 school or public library
Number of Awards: Up to ten
Award: $5,000 cash award, a plaque and $500 travel stipend to attend an awards reception in New York
